Fiber: French manufacturers are alarmed after a third black quarter

The Sycabel - which represents companies like Nexans, 3M or Draka - points to international competition, notably from China and South Korea. As its management indicates in the columns of "La Tribune" , imports of fiber produced in China or South Korea today represent 45% of the total production of union members, against only 13% in 2017.

An evolution which is enough to worry professionals in the sector, who are concerned about the quality of the products of their Asian competitors and are calling for the adoption of strict control rules applicable to all players, French and foreign.
